The company’s main activity is to improve safety at sea.

Main services are survey and ship inspections, project management, consultancy, updates of certificates and implementation of work- and management systems.

ASG has roots back to 1972 when Ole Rosendal Lauritsen started as representative for Bureau Veritas in the Faroe Islands with main focus on ship and boat classification. Rosendal Ltd. was founded in 1986, and Andras Gregersen became part of the company in 1989. The first years the company represented Bureau Veritas and later also Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, in addition to other counseling tasks.

From representing classification societies the company has during the years changed into a maritime consulting company.

In 2008 Andras Gregersen takes over the company’s share capital, and in 2018 the company changes name to ASG Ltd. In the beginning, Andras manages the company along side his fulltime job as a captain in A.P. Møller-Maersk. During this period ASG’s main tasks are UTM thickness measurements of ships and boats. In 2010 the company becomes a certified supplier for BV and DNV.

There was a significant change in the company in 2011 when Andras Gregersen started working full time for ASG. Since then the services have expanded with different skilled freelancers.
