Greenland’s business organisation Sulisisut and the Faroe Islands Chamber of Commerce (Vinnuhúsið) have signed a new cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening business development and economic collaboration between the two North Atlantic nations.

The agreement focuses on closer cooperation in areas where Greenland and the Faroe Islands share common opportunities and challenges, including trade, business promotion, and industry development.

"Greenland and the Faroe Islands have much to learn from one another," said Sulisisut Chair Krissie Winberg Berthelsen, who described the agreement as a natural step in further strengthening ties between the two business communities.

The partnership will also support joint trade missions, export initiatives, and networking opportunities for companies in both countries, with annual meetings planned to monitor progress.

The agreement was signed during a Faroese business delegation to Greenland, organised by Vinnuhúsið, which brought together around 120 representatives from 80 Faroese companies.

The visit aimed to explore new opportunities for trade and investment and further strengthen commercial relations across the North Atlantic.

The new partnership reflects growing momentum in business cooperation between Greenland and the Faroe Islands and is expected to create new opportunities for companies on both sides.
