Four Cruise calls scheduled in Port of Runavík

The coming days will bring four cruise ship visits to the Faroe Islands, with calls in both Elduvík and Kongshavn. The visits include a mix of expedition vessels, luxury yachts, and larger cruise ships, highlighting the diversity of ships choosing the Faroes as a destination.

SH Diana will be the first to arrive, visiting Elduvík on 21 August from 08:00 to 13:00. Operated by Swan Hellenic, the modern expedition ship measures 125 metres and accommodates up to 192 guests. This marks the vessel’s first visit to the Faroe Islands. Faroe Ship serves as local agent.

On 22 August, SeaDream II will call at Kongshavn from 08:00 to 14:00. The exclusive luxury yacht carries up to 112 guests and 95 crew members, offering an intimate cruising experience. The visit will be the ship’s first call to the Faroe Islands. Tor Shipping is the local agent.

Another first-time visitor, Amera of Phoenix Reisen, is scheduled to arrive in Kongshavn on 24 August from 08:00 to 17:00. The 205-metre vessel has capacity for 835 guests and is represented locally by Tor Shipping.

The final call of the period will be Rotterdam of Holland America Line, arriving in Kongshavn on 26 August from 12:00 to 20:00. At nearly 300 metres in length and carrying around 2,800 guests, Rotterdam is among the largest cruise ships visiting the Faroe Islands. Including this call, the vessel will have visited the destination three times this year. The ship is supported locally by Tor Shipping.

Cruise teams across the destinations are preparing to welcome guests and showcase the Faroe Islands’ unique landscapes, culture, and hospitality during the upcoming visits.
