Smyril Line has announced a profit of 147 million kroner after tax for the past financial year, marking a significant improvement from the previous year and ranking among the strongest results the company has delivered.
In a press statement, the company’s management described the outcome as “satisfactory,” highlighting that the shipping operator managed to achieve solid earnings despite facing rising cost pressures, regulatory changes, and new industry-specific fees during the year.
According to the statement, Smyril Line has continued to strengthen its position as a reliable transport provider in the North Atlantic, with steady performance in both passenger travel and freight operations.
The company also emphasized that it remains in a robust financial position. Ongoing strategic investments—including new vessels and infrastructure expansions—are expected to support growth and ensure long‑term sustainable operations.
