Faroese expertise presented to the President of Iceland

Tactus represents a strong example of how Faroese and Icelandic expertise is increasingly integrated.

The company is jointly owned by MP Teknik and Leif Mohr, combining technical know-how, operational experience, and regional understanding.

This partnership reflects a broader trend across the North Atlantic: companies are leveraging shared environmental conditions, similar industry needs, and geographic proximity to build stronger cross-border solutions.

Faroese competence in demand

Faroese companies have, over the past decades, developed a reputation for operating in some of the most demanding maritime environments in the world. This has created a solid foundation of technical expertise and practical experience, particularly within aquaculture and related infrastructure.

In this context, Tactus serves as a bridge—bringing Faroese capabilities directly into the Icelandic market. It is one of several examples of how Faroese businesses are not only supporting domestic industries but are also expanding their footprint internationally.

Strengthening regional collaboration

The visit from the Icelandic delegation underlines the importance of continued cooperation between the two nations. With similar economic structures—both heavily reliant on marine industries.

Looking ahead

As industries such as aquaculture and offshore services continue to grow across the region, partnerships like Tactus are likely to become even more important.

They demonstrate how local expertise, when combined across borders, can evolve into something larger—a regional strength with international relevance.

For MP Teknik, the collaboration is not just about business development. It is about being part of a broader movement where Faroese expertise is helping shape the future of North Atlantic industries.
