MEST | Tugboat Samson M/s north to Jan Mayen after Norwegian tugboat

On Friday evening, July 18, Samson M/s set course on a long journey north to Jan Mayen to assist the Norwegian tugboat Stadt Florø M/s, which had gotten a line wrapped around its propeller. The trip north went very well, and they reached the tug at 2 a.m. on Monday morning. After securing the tow, they set course back to Tórshavn, where they are expected to arrive late Thursday evening.

They have been very lucky with the weather, and the towing is going smoothly. They are towing at a speed of 6 knots.
