Port of Vagur filled with homebound vessels as Christmas approaches

With Driving Home for Christmas playing on the radio, the view across the harbour feels especially fitting — not just for cars on the road, but for ships making their way home at sea.

As Christmas draws near, vessels and their crews are beginning their journeys home for the holiday season. At the Port of Vágur, several familiar vessels have recently returned, bringing a seasonal sense of homecoming to the harbour. The Tuneq trawler from Royal Greenland is currently alongside, the pelagic trawler Ango has returned to its home port, and on Saturday morning the vessel Astrid arrived at the quay.

This time of year marks a special moment for the maritime community, as ships and crews conclude their voyages and prepare to spend the holidays with family and loved ones.

The Port of Vágur expresses its gratitude to the vessels that have chosen the harbour during the Christmas period and extends warm wishes for safe journeys to all crews, wherever the holiday season may take them.
