To meet rising market demand across Greenland, the company Sandship has launched a new subsidiary, Avannaq Shipping, headquartered in Nuuk.

Avannaq Shipping is a maritime transport provider that supports the regional construction sector by delivering essential bulk materials like sand and gravel. While the company operates its own fleet—including barges and landing craft—it also charters additional vessels to meet fluctuating shipping demands across the Arctic.
Jens Christian Eldevig is the managing director of Avannaq Shipping.
