MoreFish AS and SMJ announce partnership:

"We are pleased to announce a new collaboration between Morefish and SMJ.

The partnership brings together SMJ’s proven engineering expertise and MoreFish AS’ innovation and training experience to deliver practical, sustainable solutions for land-based aquaculture.

The idea of working together has been developing for years. Ten years ago, Svein Martinsen, CEO of Morefish, held a course for the aquaculture community in the Faroe Islands — with Pætur Jakobsen, now CEO of SMJ, among the participants. Since then, our companies have shared knowledge and ideas around sustainable fish farming and sound engineering solutions.

A great example of this collaboration is the new smolt facility in Kilvik, Meløy, where SMJ has designed and tendered all technical installations — including RAS, electrical, automation, and support systems — while the Morefish Academy team, with Ingrid Henry and Johanne Skår Ulvestad Ulvestad, together with Campus Blå, delivered a three-day on-site training course. The project demonstrates how technical excellence and competence development go hand in hand.
