Hjalmar joined Vónin in 1996 and has served as CEO since 2001. His commitment and vision have been instrumental in transforming Vónin into a leading producer and developer of equipment for the fishing and aquaculture industries. The company expressed its deep gratitude for his invaluable contribution to its growth and strong financial foundation over the years.
Effective March 1 next year, Daniel Hákunsson Dam will formally assume the role of CEO. Daniel has been Vónin’s Chief Financial Officer since early 2021 and is well-acquainted with the company’s operations. At 35, he holds a master’s degree in economics and business administration (cand.merc.) from Aalborg University and previously worked in Denmark in operational and financial management before returning to the Faroe Islands in 2020.
