Faroe Offshore Service proud to support major Valhall PWP milestone

Faroe Offshore Service continues to play a key role in some of the North Sea's most significant offshore developments, proudly contributing to the successful load-out of the Valhall Production and Wellhead Platform (PWP) topside at Stord, Norway.

The milestone marks an important step forward for the Valhall PWP project, one of the largest ongoing offshore developments in the region. After years of engineering, fabrication, integration, and commissioning work, the massive topside structure has now been safely transferred onto a transport barge, preparing it for the next phase of its journey to the Valhall field.

Weighing more than 17,500 tonnes, the topside represents a major technical achievement and highlights the scale and complexity of modern offshore infrastructure projects. Executing a load-out of this magnitude requires meticulous planning, precise coordination, and seamless collaboration between numerous contractors, specialists, and support partners.

The Valhall PWP topside has been delivered by Aker Solutions through the Fixed Facilities Alliance with Aker BP and ABB. Once installed, the new facility will play a vital role in future production and operations at the Valhall field, securing continued activity and efficiency in one of Norway's most important offshore areas.

The load-out operation was carried out by Sarens in close cooperation with Aker Solutions, bringing together expertise from multiple disciplines and organizations. The successful completion of this phase is a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork demonstrated by the thousands of people involved throughout the project.
