Representatives from the Faroese business community recently shared their experiences and discussed opportunities for Faroese companies in the Greenlandic market.
Following the annual general meeting of the Faroese Employers’ Association on Monday, June 15, an event was held focusing on commercial prospects in Greenland.
The session was structured as a panel discussion featuring Jørgin Jacobsen, CEO of Sandship, Turið F. Arge, CEO of Bank of the Faroe Islands, and Kristian Stórhamar, owner and project manager at KSMS ApS.
During the discussion, the speakers highlighted their hands-on experiences in Greenland, assessed the potential of the Greenlandic market, and reflected on key takeaways from the Future Greenland conference, which took place in Nuuk at the end of May.
Interest among Faroese companies in expanding into Greenland is strong. The Faroese Business Association (Vinnuhúsið) is organizing a trade mission to Greenland from September 29 to October 2.
So far, around 100 participants from more than 50 Faroese companies have signed up, underlining the growing momentum and confidence in exploring business opportunities in the region.
