Faroe Ship appoints new leaders for export and import departments

Faroe Ship has announced two key leadership appointments affecting both its export and import divisions.
Sigvald Lydersen Jacobsen has been hired as the new Head of the Import Department, including responsibility for Faroe Express. He will assume the position on 1 May,
succeeding Dáva Traber, who has now taken over as Head of the Export Department.
Dáva Traber has led the import division since 2014 and is a well‑known figure in the industry.
Faroe Ship extends its thanks for his long-standing contribution and dedication, and expresses its satisfaction at retaining him within the company in his new role. Until 1 May, he will continue to also oversee the import department.
Sigvald Lydersen Jacobsen, age 39, holds an MSc in International Business Management and most recently served as Managing Director at EFI in Esbjerg, where he played a key role in successfully turning the company around.
Faroe Ship welcomes Sigvald both to the company and back to the Faroe Islands.
