Significant progress is being made on several aquaculture infrastructure projects currently underway in Poland. Over the past three weeks, one of the newest feed barges has been in Szczecin for work and commissioning.
The barge features 24 feed lines, 18 silos, and a total feed capacity of 1,100 tons. Its silo room is designed with ample space, allowing efficient access for maintenance of key systems including blowers, augers, and sluices. Upon completion, the barge will be transported to the Faroe Islands to operate at a Bakkafrost site.

In addition to the new build, another barge that recently returned from the Faroe Islands has also been undergoing maintenance in Poland. This work ensures the long‑term performance and reliability of the fleet as it continues supporting aquaculture operations in the North Atlantic.
Across the company’s Polish worksites, three major projects are currently active. The coordinated effort and progress reflect strong performance from the local Polish teams, who continue to play a central role in delivering high‑quality maritime solutions for the aquaculture industry.
