Atlantic Fair to return to Klaksvík in 2028

Atlantic Fair will return to Klaksvík in 2028, following the formal signing of an agreement between Áki í Skemmuni, CEO of Atlantic Fair, and Karl H. Johansen, Mayor of Klaksvík.
The agreement was signed during an event at Cultural Venue in Klaksvík, Varpið.
The announcement comes as Atlantic Fair celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, marking a significant milestone for one of the Faroe Islands’ most important business exhibitions. Interest in participating remains strong, with both domestic and international companies showing high levels of engagement.
Áki í Skemmuni expressed great satisfaction with this year’s event.
“We have had excellent cooperation with Klaksvík Municipality, and we are already looking forward to Atlantic Fair 2028. By then, Hotel KG will also be completed, which will significantly improve conditions for exhibitors. That is something we are very much looking forward to,” he said.
The return of Atlantic Fair reflects both the continued growth of the event and Klaksvík’s strengthening position as a key hub for business and maritime-related industries in the Faroe Islands.
Atlantic Fair 2028 will take place from May 30 to June 1, and preparations are expected to build on the momentum created by this year’s successful exhibition.
