Adventure Canada visits Vágur for first time this summer

Expedition cruise operator Adventure Canada made its first call to Vágur this summer, bringing visitors ashore to experience the town and its surroundings.

The visit highlighted the wide range of activities involved in hosting cruise passengers, with local teams from the Port of Vágur and Vágur Municipality working together to ensure a successful arrival.

Cruise Coordinator and Developer Edith Maria Samuelsen shared snapshots from the day, illustrating the diverse responsibilities that come with welcoming international guests to the port.

Adding to the occasion, one of the photographs also captured the Faroese vessel Johanna TG 326 as it sailed past on its journey to Scotland, providing a fitting maritime backdrop to Adventure Canada’s inaugural visit.

The call marks another milestone in Vágur’s growing cruise tourism activity and ongoing efforts to showcase the southern Faroe Islands to international visitors.
