Faroese shipping operator Smyril Line has officially taken delivery of Akranes, the second of two purpose-built ro-ro freight vessels constructed at China’s CIMC Raffles shipyard. The new vessel is expected to begin its journey to the Faroe Islands shortly, following the delivery of its sister ship, Skipanes, earlier this year. Together, the two vessels represent a significant investment in the future of freight transport across the North Atlantic, increasing capacity and sup
